Jajaf Thompson

 

Jajaf Thompson – a Graphic Communications (Concentration: Printing and Publishing) graduate from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (Magna Cum Laude) – has spent nearly his entire life learning, practicing, working and teaching in the arts. His first published work was at the early age of eighteen months* old in the form of a t-shirt for the Young Masters, Inc. Over the years, he began to work closely with this non-profit organization producing artwork, helping instruct children in the arts and even participating in the original Brookland Bridge Art Revitalization (2001), located in Washington, D.C., amongst other activities. Working as the Production Director, they completed the new Monroe Street Bridge Mural in 2022.

Jajaf’s previous experiences have helped him perfect his skills in the areas of illustration, painting, graphic design, web design, and video production. One of his specialties is illustration, which he uses for both professional clients and personal projects. Some of his freelance professional work includes illustrating the children’s book – Doc Like Daddy, storyboarding for commercials – Gran Faena Tequila, and creating clothing designs – Cole Carter LLC. He currently works as a Senior Graphic Designer for the Federal Aviation Administration.
